Background of the Application
The mechanical threads of bicycle fasteners are mostly fine threads. Traditionally, thread plug gauges are popularly used for inspection, the contact gauges will wear out, and only the GO/NOGO results.
Currently, the method of pitch diameter measurement is mainly based on the three-wire gauge. However, problems such as gauge wear and reproducibility of personnel operations have increased the uncertainty of measurement.
Solution
Implementing TIMI 34P precision measuring instrument to simulate the measurement method of a three-wire gauge and calculate the pitch diameter of the mechanical thread.

The error range for measuring the pitch diameter of the thread plug gauge is within ±3µm compared with those of the standard thread plug gauge.
Measure the outer diameter, inner diameter, pitch diameter, pitch, and thread angle of the thread plug gauge within one second.
