Background of the Application

With the rapid rise of electric vehicles and smart motors, motor applications have become increasingly widespread across various industries. At the same time, demand for lower vibration and quieter performance continues to grow. As the core rotating component, the precision and coaxiality of motor shafts are critical to overall system performance and operational life.
In traditional production environments, slender shafts like motor spindles are often inspected manually using calipers or micrometers. However, manual sampling is labor-intensive, limited in scope, and lacks traceability, making it difficult to support modern mass production and digital quality management.

The TIMI Cabinet-Type and Centering-Type Image Measurement Systems (TIMI_P; TIMI_A) are specially designed for the automated inspection of slender cylindrical components, such as motor shafts and power tool spindles. These systems enable full dimensional inspection directly on the production line, completing over 15 measurements—including coaxiality analysis—in just 20 seconds.
