The TIMI image measuring machine has been successfully integrated with tooling machines and robotic arms, and the measurement data is automatically stored and uploaded to the ERP system, creating an intelligent manufacturing system for shaft components. Manufacturers will have a complete production history.
03 Mar, 2022The TIMI line of telecentric optical measuring instruments offered by USDV provides professional-grade products designed for measuring the dimensions of shafts. These instruments are capable of accurately and quickly measuring geometric tolerances and parameters like concentricity, roundness, radial profile, and runout. The patented technique detects the shaft's location and radial profile by rotating it just once, without requiring alignment. This technology is widely used for measuring the rotational characteristics of shaft geometries.
In response to the demands of Industry 4.0 and labor shortages, TIMI image measuring instruments have been seamlessly integrated with tooling machines and robotic arms. The precise machined shaft parts can be conveyed to the measuring machine through a robotic arm for automatic full-size inspection. In the case of any NG dimension data, it can be corrected by feeding it back into the machining machine. The measurement data can be saved and automatically uploaded to the ERP system, resulting in an intelligent shaft manufacturing system.
